A superb showpiece for orchestra, energy and flourish abound in Roman Carnival Overture, a brilliant work by French composer Hector Berlioz. And the season is brought to a dramatic close with Aaron Copland’s bold Third Symphony, a work written to reflect the euphoric spirit of the country at the end of World War II. Our season finale features celebrated violinist Aaron Berofsky, who has captivated audiences throughout the United States and abroad, gaining effusive praise in concert halls from Carnegie to Museo de Bellas Artes.
