Dr. Gregory Cunningham begins his fourth season with the WSO and promises a great 41st season.
Gregory Cunningham joined the WSO as Music Director in the 2010-11 season and is in his fourth season as Music Director of the Warren Symphony Orchestra. His legacy continues to grow as he develops the orchestra’s sound and fine tunes its musicality. His passion, expertise and dedication are evident in the excellent music the orchestra continues to produce.
In addition to his role at WSO, Dr. Cunningham is also an Associate Professor of Music at Oakland University (Rochester, MI), where he teaches orchestral/wind conducting at the graduate and undergraduate levels and is music director for the orchestra in residence, the Oakland Symphony Orchestra. He has appeared as guest conductor with several professional orchestras throughout the Midwest and remains quite active as a guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator of high school orchestras throughout the United States
